First sign-in on Version 2 needs an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password…). Scan this, then type the six digits it shows.

Each works once, in place of the app, if your phone is lost. Keep them somewhere safe - they are not shown again.

Sign in faster next time?

This device can sign you in with Face ID or Touch ID instead of your PIN and the code from your authenticator.
